With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and DA Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle remaining criminal organizations plaguing the streets. The partnership proves effective, but soon they find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who seeks to plunge Gotham into anarchy and expose Batman's true identity.
