In the early days of WWII, an American expatriate meets a former lover in Casablanca and must choose between his love for her and helping her husband, a Czech resistance leader, escape the Vichy-controlled city to continue his fight against the Nazis. Their reunion forces old wounds and impossible choices to the surface.
